TabTrade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade — What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is solid.

The Software

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people find it more natural once they try it.

FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That should make the platform set once it is live.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The speed is where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals what kind of broker this is.

Combine those fill times with the Edge account pricing and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Now, the part you need to be straight about. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Scam brokers do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of your assessment.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You put money in, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
