What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026
TabTrade - What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
What You Trade On
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is there for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently coming. That should round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The execution is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this make it safe. It should inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.
Welcome Offer
